This is my old cartoon strip, Inspector P.I. (Politically Incorrect). This one is a pinup, with a Comic Con favorite and drunkard, Kabuki Man. I've literally seen him drunk in his outfit on a Troma Ent. panel at the Con, with two hot chicks on his lap, and drinking a pitcher of water. Then, later on I seen him at a place called Dicks Last Resort drinking a pitcher filled with beer and him trying to "surf" on top of a table outside. It was pretty classic. He's always drunk at the con, but who isn't?!
I plan on uploading the strips on my site and comicspace.com soon. I'll post the links this week to read them. I hope you get a couple of laughs out of him. I always had fun doing Inspector P.I. stuff... "wait... that didn't sound right!" - That's kind of a catch phrase you'll see in the stories.
My favorites from this series, is the "Trilogy Caper" and my all time favorite "Case of the Comic Cult" with SDCCI as the catalyst.
Inspector P.I. was created in 1998, and was done again in 2000. The original was complete crap, and had something to do with President Clinton at the time.
I may resurrect this title. It was a lot of fun and I think it was funny. Lot's of inside info jokes and Pop Culture spoofs. The Trilogy Caper started out as a "Star Wars" spoof, which I make fun of myself for doing another one of those. Since everyone does them in the cartoon world. But that one is taking on the legalities of the "Fan Fic" films and Star Wars Spoofs also, so there's a funny contradiction.
And the other, Case of the Comic Cult has something to do with the defunct and dead company, CrossGen comics. Some comic people may think it's a bash against comic books and artists, but it's just a spoof.
Thanks. He has a cameo in the actual story. I plan on uploading that tonight or tomorrow.
And when you get a chance, try to seek out Troma Entertainment and Kabuki Man. It's silly independent films. Like Toxic Avenger and some other crazy stuff.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
